Making it happen,
For the masses
Design research can awaken and accelerate lived experience. Art is our most liberal science. Its autonomous, hyper-liberal research promotes the most unique voices. And it’s the interests of not-for-profits that incite the progressive innovation this produces.
Onomatopee Projects offers station for all to get involved in the exploration of a life experienced in a dynamic and progressive way. All the exhibitions on show operate through a praxis-based approach, opening up the discourse of thinkers and doers to a form of critical participation and involvement that contests the future, now.
The topics addressed during Dutch Design Week range from notions of alternative fashion practice (Modus/ Onomatopee 148), Creole cultural materialisation (Field Essays with dach&zephir / Onomatopee 55.3), the creative rendering (Being as Becoming / Onomatopee 160), gestures of dictatorial statues (Decoding Dictatorial Statues / Onomatopee 157) and more!
