Anastasia Eggers & Ottonie von Roeder

Anastasia Eggers and Ottonie von Roeder are a design duo that is working in the field of speculative and critical design. They were trained as designers in Russia, Germany, South Africa, Israel and the Netherlands, where they met during their Social Design master studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven.

In their artistic practice they use research, experimentation, speculation and public interventions to trigger a discussion and attract an audience. Usually they seek to collaborate with practitioners and theorists from other fields in order to develop and test their ideas. Their methodology applies design to social situations in terms to generate reactions, change the mindset and collect data about societal trends.
