We are modern animists: we believe that the objects and furniture surrounding us are becoming more and more alive. We ask ourselves if objects can have a life of their own and if they will become conscious entities in our social and cultural constructs

We are animists.
SupertoysSupertoys creates objects, furniture and spaces with a focus on the imaginary. Our passion for design, storytelling and science-fiction is the starting point for each project.
With our designs we want to construct meaningful relationships between objects and humans. In our times of Internet of Things, robotics and Artificial Intelligence we have the opportunity to reanimate reciprocal relationships between objects and humans. We believe the objects around us should be considered as critical and meaningful entities in our social, cultural and political constructs.
SupertoysSupertoys is a collaboration between Merle Flügge and Job Mouwen, based in the Netherlands.
