THIJS BIERSTEKER

Thijs is an interactive artist that creates awareness installations about the world most pressing issues. He seamlessly combines science and technology to deliver an empowering experience that is accessible both intellectually and technologically.

His large-scale immersive art installations are a surprising mesh of data, analog elements, digital visuals, kinetic motion and virtual reality that explore the gap between the physical and digital, data and emotions, industry and nature.

His work provokes thought about sustainability, celebrates the good use of data, lets our brain waves overcome diversity and turns your movements into the plastic ocean trash.  He produces his work in a conscious way with talented teams that share the same vision on a circulair and sustainable future.

Thijs is currently artist in residence at the Technical University of Delft. He has exhibited amongst others at MU Art Gallery (NL), Times Art Museum (CN), SXSW (USA), Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (NL) and Down the Rabbit Hole festival (NL).

CASPER VAN DER MEER

Casper van der Meer (Amersfoort, 1987) studied Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. He is co-founder of Better Future Factory, a sustainable innovation and engineering studio based in Rotterdam, but operating internationally.

He loves to combine his idealistic drivers with his down to earth and pragmatic way of working, combining design and engineering for a better future. Converting a 2d idea into a tangible installation is what he does best.Casper is also a guest lecturer at the faculty of architecture at the Delft University of Technology since 2013.

KEES PLATTEL

Kees is a polymath with an education in film history and animation. His work as a creative technologist has made him an allround maker that can combine film, design, code and hardware in unique ways for broad set of clients and brands.

Teaching at Hyper Island and Decoded has given him a way to break down the biggest technological challenges into steps understandable for everyone in the process.

MELANIE KOOL

As a junior creative technologist Melanie can bridge the gap between the digital and physical in a playful way. The combination of her work in the music industry at the label Top Notch and her love for technology give the things she creates an entertaining yet technologically savvy edge.

Volverium, 2018

Volverium creates awareness for the impact of algorithms that result in today’s information bubbles. The powerful algorithms designed to reinforce our interests also ensure that we see little of what’s new, different
