We design social interaction tools to approach new ways of communication. We think playfulness and ease are great ways to stimulate this new ways of interacting.

Clink

Approximately more than 50 million people are affected by dementia worldwide. One of the most widespread symptoms of this disease is the loss of ability to communicate verbally. My grandmother has been diagnosed with dementia. I personally experience the loss of verbal communication, of interaction in general as very sad, tough and difficult for both of us. Like me, so many other people with relatives diagnosed with dementia are having the experience of loss. Clink are two interactive communication tools, designed to keep the doors between patient, nurse and family open. Each product is stimulating different senses in its very own way. They are working without any pressure to succeed - but with the chance to provide a feeling of achievement and joy. The products are made to have a joyful and fun interaction with each other. They are designed to experience ease, playfulness and stimulating entertainment. The Clink products provide precious moments for both people involved.

Intymność

Stimulating communication and intimacy between couples is central to my work. It's about the wrong image that our society has created around relationships and love. Intimacy is often understood as something that has to do with sex. I would like to change this mindset. Even in this digital world we live in, we mainly communicate via our telephone, in reality we sometimes forget to communicate. My project arose from a reflection from my own experience. Through theoretical knowledge that I had gained I learned to communicate better in my relationship and what led to intimacy and a deeper intimacy. I would like to offer this experience to other people as well. With my game I want to achieve that couples can establish a connection or deeper connection with each other in a playful, fun way, that they can fall back on intimacy at any time. It is a tool for establishing connection, for people to start looking at the other again, to put themselves in the position of the other, to look at each other's needs, to learn to talk to each other and to see what it is like to be vulnerable to the other.
