Looking Forward

The projects exhibited display different possibilities within the future textile design by a new generation of designers ready to challenge the existing ideals. Here, they propose new visions based on advances in textile materiality, design methods, and design for sustainability. The Swedish School of Textiles is situated in the unique textile and fashion cluster of Sweden, Textile Fashion Center, where industry and academia meet in textile and fashion innovation. During the education, artistic skills and knowledge in advanced textile and fashion industrial processes intertwine and challenge conventional concepts on the use and role of textiles and fashion in our daily lives.
