The futures we refuse to see
Students, together with and for partners from the professional field, have developed concepts addressing societal challenges. Presented by the Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle programme.

Societal application and technology

Designing for Impact
Discover how craftsmanship and technology come together in innovative designs that address societal challenges. From inclusive products such as the Blind Ball and a travel stool to other smart solutions that improve accessibility, ease of use, and participation for everyone. These designs demonstrate how creativity and technology can contribute to a more inclusive society. Presented by Industrial Design Engineering.

SUPERLOCAL.
SUPERLOCAL brings this continuous extraction process out of the server room and onto the exhibition floor. Initiated by Fontys InnovationLab alongside Humber Polytechnic and Fontys ArtCode, this project treats the entirety of Dutch Design Week as a raw dataset waiting to be harvested.

How can technology enhance designs?

Fashion Tech
Fontys and Summa bring fashion and technology together during Dutch Design Week. With Like Insects and Cooling Tech, students explore how smart technology can make clothing more interactive, functional and future-ready. By students of Summa and the minor Be Creative (Engineering).

Climate perspectives
Images have a major impact on news consumers; they strongly appeal to emotions and thereby influence both perceptions and behavior regarding climate. In this project, we are investigating the effect of climate images in the news. By Journalism.
