How does migration transform creative practices and reshape the local design scene?
Migration extends beyond physical relocation or bureaucratic processes. It also involves a form of “creative migration”: a constant process of encountering new resources, materials, techniques, and cultural contexts that reshapes creative practices. This process challenges creatives to remain open, adaptable and reflective as they navigate new environments and build creative spaces that can feel like home.
Through video interviews with Eindhoven-based creatives and a material archive installation, the project investigates how processes of adaptation, integration and cultural exchange become embedded in material practices. Textures, materials, forms and patterns become storytellers of migration, resilience and belonging.
