Journey through forms, the geographical and cultural contexts inspiring them. The exhibition, framed in three chapters, includes selected pieces from Garofalo's design collections. From objects to short films, the show traces a panoramic on his design research and how it translates into materiality.

I.

An ignimbrite rock, arches and vaults, the architecture of Naples, a city at the centre of the Mediterranean. Partenopea. An outstanding example of heterogeneity narrates a perfect integration between natural and artificial.

II.

A large aquatic grass, seeds deposited by the seawater on the bottom of the future Noordoostpolder rural landscape. Dorico. Experimental process capturing an essential relationship between individuals, society and design.

III.

An alloy of iron, the intangible layer that connects the inner self to the outer world, flexible, adaptable and reflective. The Fourth Wall. Research on the mask as a concept more than a physical artefact.

Studio Corradino Garofalo is an interdisciplinary design studio founded in October 2015 and based in Eindhoven (NL). Garofalo's research treads the thin line between geographical and anthropological contexts, using metaphors and analogies as the foundation of his design framework. His collections are represented internationally by art and design galleries, such as Rossana Orlandi (IT), Galerija Vartai (LT), Framework (NL) and Shåk Gallery (BE).
