On October 9, 2020, the day of sustainability, 's-Hertogenbosch entered into a dialogue on 'Increasingly sustainable building' during the symposium Intelligent Sustainable Building. Buro Kade took the viewers along in the developments of Detachable and Circular Architecture.

In the Exploded View, shown in the Embassy of Circular and Biobased Building, Buro Kade's design details include detachable construction nodes. These have been realized on a scale of 1:4, but in the 1:1 building Buro Kade already applies similar principles.

On the basis of two Bossche live cases, both architects take you along in these design principles. The first is the new construction of the Weener XL, a 15.000 m2 circular and biobased building for a vulnerable target group. Construction will start in early 2021.

The second case is a proposition of a modular organized housing complex of 15 dwellings in 's-Hertogenbosch. This assignment is situated on a sensitive historical site and is currently awaiting approval by the municipality.
