How it began
Twenty years ago, we started Vij5 with a simple idea: to develop, make and share beautiful, functional products for the interior from our own perspective as designers. What began with a few designs of our own gradually grew into a collection shaped together with designers close to us.
Publishing design products
Over the years, the collection has grown, but our focus on the entire process has always remained the same: from the first idea to a product that is made with care and eventually finds its place in a new interior. As design publishers, we look beyond the object itself. We bring designers, makers and users together, and help shape ideas into carefully made products for everyday living. For us, this journey from idea to use is at the heart of Vij5.
The collection today
For this anniversary exhibition, we invite visitors to explore the Vij5 collection as it stands in 2026. Some products have been part of our journey for many years: designs that began with a strong idea and have since become true Vij5 classics because their foundations still hold. The concept remains clear, the function continues to prove itself, and the products keep finding a place in new interiors.
The exhibition also includes recent additions to the collection and offers a glimpse of products that are still in development. Together, they show twenty years of building a personal collection in which design, craftsmanship, collaboration and functionality continue to come together.
