Event type

Exhibition

This year ''Dat kan mijn kleine nichtje ook'' is back again at the Dutch Design Week with this time the focus on scribbles.

Scribbles

Lots of children start of translating their surroundings in a drawing composed of random abstract lines. Designer Joni Veizaj sees these scribbles as the perfect way to cheer up our direct environment. By turning these cheerful child drawings into contemporary design pieces.

Turn your (child) scribbles into new design pieces!

During his research over the past year, Joni has increasingly turned to the direct translation of children's drawings into products. Since the product designer thinks it is a shame that many children's drawings disappear in a folder after some time, he looked for a way to better exhibit these drawings. By translating a child's drawing into design pieces, the child drawing is given the prominent place it deserves. So bring your own children's drawings and ask about the possibilities of translating this drawing into new design pieces.

About Joni Veizaj

My name is Joni Veizaj, a product designer who looks for the fun and humor in certain materials, products or statements that relate to product design. I try to incorporate these themes in my products through experimental research combined with childish curiosity. I see myself as a maker in heart and soul and through my knowledge of materials and production techniques I look for new ways of producing. My products are mainly intended to provide her environment with a cheerful and humorous touch.
