Experiential Micro-Factory
The Spoon Press is a pop-up that brings the public into the act of making. In an age of mass consumption, production is often obscured behind packaging and polish. Here, visitors shape and press stainless steel into a spoon — engaging a process typically reserved for controlled industrial contexts. Custom-built machines reveal the mechanics of metal forming, translating pressure, leverage, and tolerance into a performance. As participants transform a flat sheet into a contemporary utensil, they gain a tactile understanding of manufacturing. Each spoon becomes both outcome and evidence: that design is not only seen, but made, felt, and experienced.
