From Ichi to Yoto — exploring light through layers, scale and composition
Yoto is a new decorative lighting collection by JSPR, evolving from the Ichi collection presented during Dutch Design Week 2025. Where Ichi introduced the idea of layered anodised aluminium and light, Yoto takes this principle further in scale, form and composition.
Each Yoto is composed of multiple layers of elegantly shaped anodised aluminium. Light is integrated between the layers, creating a soft, decorative glow that reveals the depth and subtle movement of the form. At the same time, functional light is directed downward, combining atmosphere with practical illumination.
Yoto is available in two sizes. Each piece has a strong presence on its own, but the collection is designed to be combined into larger compositions, allowing different Yoto lights to interact and create a unique visual rhythm.
During Dutch Design Week, Yoto will be presented in JSPR's own showroom and studio in Eindhoven — the place where the collection is designed, developed and produced. Visitors can discover the new collection while also experiencing the broader JSPR lighting family and seeing the environment in which our designs come to life.
