Grand Café - Piet Hein Eek

After three years of renovations, Piet Hein Eek's Grand Café is finally open again! Start your DDW day off right with a delicious cake and a hot cup of coffee from our cake counter, take a well-deserved break from your design tour and have lunch with a rich soup of locally grown vegetables or a good sandwich on artisan bread, or end your day in style with a three- or four-course dinner à la carte. In the old canteen next to the Grand Café, we also proudly present the "farm-to-table" food show. Every day, seeds become seedlings, become trees, become wood, become objects, become waste and become objects again. This life cycle is a kind of mantra for the way things go in the slow design Valhalla that is the Piet Hein Eek campus. In the restaurants on campus, this mantra is almost entirely reflected. Seeds become seedlings, become plants, become food, become dishes, become waste, become food for seedlings again. These food and design mantras come to life during the food show through objects, dishes, drinks and visual stories. Shows take place every day at 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00.No reservations, no rush, no walking. Just sit down and relax with friends or relations, and enjoy the food, the inspiring environment and each other.
