Discover the interactive project Forever Summer by artist collective De Onkruidenier.

Forever Summer Color Wheel — © De Onkruidenier

De Onkruidenier teaches you everything you need to know about how tomato plants grow through heat, light, water and soil. Discover how design, color and materials play a role in this. With a live performance every day.

Color Wheel Tour

Artist collective De Onkruidenier turns insights from their project Forever Summer into an interactive “color wheel tour", with four different stations. Using a map guide, visitors explore stations that link aspects of tomato plant growth (heat, light, water, soil) with design elements like color and material conservation. Each station features videos from the 2020 and 2021 editions, and one of them will be activated daily though a performace. The artists ask us to think about how design influences the growth, distribution, and perception of staple foods like tomatoes, from genetic modification to greenhouse engineering and product packaging.
