Led by jeweller and goldsmith Daisy Simpson, Skomer Studio will showcase new, one-of-a-kind jewels crafted from repurposed materials alongside pieces from the ever-evolving permanent collection as part of the DDW Designer Exhibition at Piet Hein Eek.
Repurposing materials to create new designs
Skomer Studio will be exhibiting a selection of handcrafted jewellery, including unique one-of-a-kind pieces that are produced incorporating off cuts, leftover scrap materials and repurposed gemstones.
The one-of-a-kind collection is inspired by the joy and creativity that comes from working with existing materials and bringing new life to gemstones that have been discarded or deemed to be unusable within the mainstream jewellery production process.
Pieces from the permanent Skomer Studio jewellery collection will also be on display.
Every piece of jewellery is meticulously crafted by hand using traditional metalworking and jewellery making techniques at Daisy's workbench based in London's historic Goldsmith's Centre.
Come by to view the collections at the Piet Hein Eek showroom, where you can find the Skomer Studio presentation in the space above the Grand Café.
