Vilnius Academy of Arts: Design Graduates 2024

A selection of graduation projects from the year of 2024

"Air Scalpels" by Elena Laurinavičiūtė

Seven design graduates present their recent research projects emphasizing the transformation of specific materials ā€” such as clay, glass, bronze, or textileā€”into new forms that convey meaning beyond their functional roles.

Curated by Design Innovation Centre at Vilnius Academy of Arts.

Design research through material exploration and personal experiences

The material exploration is often combined with a narrative, where the physical objects serve as vessels for personal or cultural stories, honoring the individuals, traditions, or memories associated with them. The objects underscore a commitment to both preserving and reimagining cultural and personal stories through thoughtful and innovative design.
