The HKU exhibition within ‘Class of 24’ focuses on artistic research: creating and exploring art to gain new knowledge and insights. Eight HKU alumni present their work in the exhibition called ‘Cabinet of Artistic Research’.
Cabinet of Artistic Research
The concept of a ‘Cabinet of Artistic Research’ can be seen as a special space or a curated collection that shows the diversity, depth and interdisciplinary nature of artistic research. The exhibition therefore serves as a physical and digital storage that provides insight into various projects, methodologies and collaborations at the intersection of art and research methods
Research and Practice
By bringing together artistic research and practice, artists can play an important role in, for example, increasing ecological awareness, promoting socio-political dialogue or exploring interdisciplinary solutions to social problems. ‘Cabinet of Artistic Research’ is a search for the scope of research methods with which young artists and designers will rapidly determine our future.
