This work is about the beauty in vulnerability and finding strength in delicate connections.
On vulnerability and care
My process begins with therapeutic walks, during which I capture photographs that inspire weave-like drawings. These drawings form the basis for my weavings and "hacked weavings"—a unique technique where I sew horizontal and vertical lines on water-dissolvable fabric. Once immersed in water, the fabric dissolves, leaving only the threads.
This innovation in using water-soluble fabric arises from my need to care for my body. While weaving is my passion, it strains my back, so I developed this method to continue my art without compromising my health. This project is not only an artistic endeavor but also a reflection of my adaptability and resilience in the face of physical challenges.
