Process

Cubcho is built on the philosophy that less is more. With only old paper and water, children create their own building blocks for play. Additions like colors, spices, seeds, or natural finds enrich the experience with discoveries and spark the thrill of making “just one more.” At its heart, Cubcho is about the process—where children take charge: exploring, making design choices, mastering the tool, and finding their own rhythm. It helps them slow down, focus, and connect with the materials.

Learning

Designed for curious minds aged 3–12, Cubcho is a playful tool for children, educators, and people of all abilities. When children work with their hands and have fun, learning happens naturally. Cubcho provides a simple structure that gives freedom for imagination to run wild.

Once dry, the blocks transform into tools for play and learning, from storytelling and math to building and design. Cubcho includes an illustrated manual and a Classroom Guide with lesson plans, games, and experiments linking sustainability to science, art, language, and daily life.

At Dutch Design Week, visitors are invited to step into this process themselves: grinding paper, mixing textures, and pressing a cube to take home.
