Void 03 is part of Anthropological Design Research 00. It's the first section of a multi-layered research, started from the analysis of specific megalith and atavic structures located in Europe, in this case in Sardinia.
VOID 03 is a multipurpose object based on the analysis of the void space of the “domus de janas” Genna Salixi, an underground structure from the 3rd century BC, located in Sardinia.
The design process becomes the means to investigate, reinterpret, and connect these eternal forms in a functional and sustainable object. New relationships between traditional craftmanship and advance manufacturing, determines two complementary geometry that change according to their position in the layouts: A_stand up desk, B_coffee table, C_stool+magazine rack. The material chosen is Quercus Suber cork, collected in Sardinia to develop a complete sustainable approach towards materiality and the process.
