Digital Muses

Virtual intimacy through the eyes of a designer

Digital Muses_Exhibition

In sociology, the ‘bedroom culture’ has been defined as the place where youth develop their identity.
As children grow up, the meaning of private spaces evolves towards street-based subcultures or virtual realms.
Driven by curiosity we started analysing those rooms with the eye of a designer.

Virtual intimacy is now part of our daily lives. The variety of its contents has led us to focus our attention on what most can affect the visual communication field, which is the world of streamers.
But streamers are so many: makeup artists, home chefs

About Giorgio Gasco and Gianmaria Della Ratta

Their recent works are sharp representations of human behaviours through the observation of artefacts. They take inspiration from the fight between the most primitive and instinctive human needs and the complexity of the world. The leitmotif of their projects results in material excess, visual incoherence, tension and decadence. Through cunning and uncommon digital manipulation, they manage to achieve completely unexpected results that give objects a never seen before aesthetic.
