This human-machine interaction concept raises awareness around littering, a worldwide problem with environmental and economic consequences. Humans can help BB via a game app in which they annotate and label litter images. They learn about the impact of littering and train BB’s detection algorithm.

For this project we combine technology with human psychology to be part of the solution. Human-robot interaction is relatively unexplored terrain, but has potential to bring new solutions for stubborn societal issues.
