Paper Gardens is a project for T Magazine, which happens every year in the gardens of Villa Necchi in Milan. The project turned the grounds of the Villa, for a day, into a celebration marking the beginning of spring, reflecting rituals of sowing and harvesting seen across different cultures.

Paper Gardens proposed to reimagine the opening event of the Salone del Mobile and its volatile, even consumeristic character, as a place for interaction and cultivation. Imagining each guest as a gardener and an explorer, the installation transformed the formality of Villa Necchi’s gardens into an embassy of flamboyant pavilions, representing and enabling different kinds of interactions between people, plants and materials.
