Six artist, One Neighbourhood and a lot of Data
For ten years, Tante Netty has been connecting young artists and designers to social challenges to find new insights and connections. After a successful first edition in 2020 this year we invited again several artists and designers from multiple disciplines to gather data in Woensel-West, our neighborhood in Eindhoven. This data has been collected in collaboration with local residents, entrepreneurs and organizations and has been translated into various pieces of art, from 3D-installations and experiences to interactive animations and zines.
As more and more data are getting gathered and available these days, the visualization of data has become an art form. The goal of this innovative art form is to process data into visual pieces and offer a unique way to express emotions. As data analysis mostly consists of digits and graphs it lacks a personal touch. To make a change we initiated Data-West and gave this assignment to a new generation of artists and designers.
