Liel will be live in store where he will show us how he makes his clothing by hand. He wants to create awareness around the art of sewing your own clothes and hopes to engage the conversation with lyd studio visitors about the process and how he’s gotten to the point where he is now with his brand.
Liël behind the scenes
My creations have partly come from frustration. When I bought clothes I usually had to have it adjusted (or did it myself) to get the right fitting.
As a result, at a certain point I thought: why not just do it myself on a professional level?
That thought forced me to improve my tailoring skills at the tailor studio where I always brought my clothes. Instead of tweaking bought clothes, I created shirts to my taste and with the right fitting.
The questions "Hey, where did you get this shirt?" and "Can't you make one for me?" I got to hear more and more, which eventually led to the idea to start my own line! liël Clothing was born..
We at liël believe that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, therefore we live by the ’less is more’ motto. With these two elements combined we create our unique style from our humble workplace.
Observing the current state of Fashion, liël is convinced it can provide a major contribution with their vision. They dare to be different and deviate from your standard fittings and color.
