(Archive) Plywood Legg Fauteuil and Table

Maarten Baptist designs form his fascination of material & industry. For the DDW he worked with a Greece plywood factory to create this new series.

Plywood is a strong and inspiring technique where many iconic objects are created form. Maarten made an archetypal leg shape and connected it to a table top in a humoristic simple way.

In the Fauteuil he used the same legs in a even more playfully way.

From the first of October Maarten Baptist is moving his studio togheter with his wife Noon Passama to Sectie-C. Aside creating new designs form this location, is it the plan of Maarten to also show more of his Furniture creations in his new space.

And of course Maarten will also present his Outline Cutlery and glass designs like the Tripod glasses and Wave glasses.

Hopefully the first pieces will be ready at the DDW 2021.
