To develop and to validate effective and economically viable mobility hub solutions by setting up pilot projects in 6 European cities: Amsterdam, Helmond, Eindhoven, Warsaw, Lisbon and Barcelona.
SmartHubs
Adoption rates of shared mobility are rising, but not yet at a level that they change the way people move around in cities. Therefore, the reduction in the pressure over the transport network and public space is still limited. Findings show that these new means of transport are not being unlocked in the right manner for mode transfer.
We believe mobility hubs when implemented right, can alleviate pressure on public space caused by personal car or motorcycle ownership (parking mainly). When shared mobility is used, you gain efficiency and reduce the invasiveness of the transport options in public space (more green, higher liveability for cities).

What is the intended effect of the proposal?
To provide answers to three important questions: (1) where, how and what size should be allocated to each hub; (2) what business models are the best to make the hubs scalable; (3) what procurement methods are the most suitable. In addition, reduce pressure on public space and facilitate the transition to shared mobility.
