KKEKK presents a handbag series inspired by human hands.
The handbag series began with imagining parts of human body being mutated. At first I just thought, what if our hands got bigger? Then I thought it would be funny to carry around giant hands. To make it friendlier, I made handbags like how plush dolls are made (stuffing cotton inside the fabric). It is practical as you can put small things in the palm and finger spaces. Interesting thing about this product is that it doesn’t just stop at being a bag, but can be used in various ways. You can put your hand in the bag and use the giant hand to wave or shake hands.
During this year’s DDW, you can find these works in Sectie-C and try on the products in the installation area.
