During the Dutch Design Week, this project explores the changing meaning of locally worn clothing and its sustainable possibilities.
Lantink provides an insight into his characteristic process of deconstruction and reconstruction.
He uses visual materials from the Zeeuws Museum and locally acquired garments. Consciously seeking out the tensions between surrender and subversion, between respect and reclamation, between preservation and recycling. Lantink works respectfully but stops at nothing. The Zeeuws Museum and Duran Lantink invite everyone to participate in this search for a sustainable future perspective for an endangered social phenomenon.
