(Archive) Building Dialogue

a game for designers to collectively imagine new social scenarios attuned to contemporary ecological and social challenges

"Building Dialogue" is a collective role game in which players immerse themselves in a provocative scenario and are guided to question the status quo of today's world. The aim is to offer the participants of the DDW22 a space of reflection and practical action to tackle a given situation as a team.

As Social Designers, our goals emphasize our responsibility as designers in the reorganization of society. We have a role in the struggles for social and ecological justice, animal and nature rights, depatriarchalizing, decolonization, and antiracism. Coming from different backgrounds our goals may vary, but we all share the objective to offer our vision, imagination and abilities for the creation of worlds that promote care and responsibility.

We believe "Building Dialogue" is a powerful tool for active collective imagination, resilience, and negotiation. Those are qualities that our society needs in order to shape more sustainable, equitable, and diverse futures
