HOUSEWEST_ presents, SORRY WE'RE OPEN

Marking the entrance of Woensel West since 1926, HOUSEWEST_ will be the last incarnation of the old Bastiaans building before being demolished to make room for affordable housing and commercial spaces..To honor the significance of the location, HOUSEWEST_ will open its doors during this DDW with a big salute to all the hero’s and hustlers of the old school working class.

[in]famous for its rough image and red lights, Woensel West has been standing tall as one of the original dutch working class districts of the Netherlands. Born Eindhovenaren and immigrant workers have been doing it their way for many decades until they ultimately had to bow their head to the changing times and for better or worse accept new neighbors and outside influences.

‘SORRY WE’RE OPEN’’, is a curated presentation of collectible design, art and fashion, inspired by Dutch streetlife and working class culture. In particular Woensel West streetlife and working class culture. Expect deconstructed plastic garden furniture, a lot of concrete and galvanized steel, topped with a little touch of loose morals..
