Living LAB 040 is a breading place in Eindhoven, where we try to find solutions for the grand challenges we are facing. We are building 119 experimental houses in an experimental environment. Together with companies, the municipality, habitants and knowledges institutes we can make a change.
The opening
We have started with the first experiments, gained our first lessons learned and the first houses are being built at this moment.
With this milestone we want to open the expo-area of the Living LAB 040 for interested parties who want to engage in the discussion and our search.
Our mission is to find out how we can built cities:
1. where the wellbeing of the habitants are priority #1;
2. which are attractive to live in;
3. which are agile;
4. which are efficiently organized;
5. and where we take responsibility for everything we do.

Living LAB 040 Café #2
On the 25th of October the Living LAB 040 Café will take place. This is an event for professionals where they can find like minded people. A place for inspiration, for debating, for new ideas and to find new collaborations.
The Living LAB 040 will be the decor of this event. We will guide you around, show the innovations and experiments where we are working on. We present our future plans, our wonderings and mysteries we want to find solutions on. We will challenge the participants of the event, to engage. We will share our successes but also our failures, because by sharing them, we can broaden our and your knowledges.
This Living LAB 040 Café we will focus on the innovation pilar: Tanking Responsibility. What is our role in climate change? Wat is our role in the transformation towards a circular economy? What can we do to accelerate processes? What obstacles are we facing?
These and other questions will be addressed.
