During the DDW22 Fontys University of Applied Sciences opens its location Nexus and invites you to an event organized by two of its Centers of Expertise (Sustainability & Circularity and High Tech Systems & Materials) together with 100 Months To Change.

Get inspired, motivated and get into action mode to reverse climate change. With de docu-film Beyond Zero this event offers a firm inspiration boost to everybody with climate ambitions and provides concrete tools to accelerate in your climate work. An experience for concerned citizens, involved directors, curious students and lecturers. During the experience event we will create awareness of your own role and opportunities to tackle climate issues, debate, and put our visitors in action mode to reverse climate change.

Fontys University of Applied Sciences wants to create a sustainable future for everyone and wants to support SMEs and organizations with tools, workshops, students and researchers to make sustainable and circular entrepreneurship feasible and financially interesting. The award winning docu-film Beyond Zero tells the story of climate pioneer Interface: a very polluting production enterprise is transformed to a climate positive company. This international production enterprise started 25 years ago with a striking climate mission and succeeded in a transformation from a polluting to a climate positive company. This story inspires all professionals to tackle complex climate issues. It gives hope that it is possible to meet the climate goals and motivates to take action.

About organization

The future is sustainable and circular! With education and research Fontys Hogeschool wants to contribute to this future by educating sustainability professionals. We work on transition paths that have potential for a regenerative economy, in which natural loops are closed again. That means a different mindset, other values and other behavior. We design new business models and tools that accelerate social, technical and economic transformation. The docu-film Beyond Zero is an inspiring instrument to accelerate a sustainable and circular mindset and action modus.

100 Months to Change is a worldwide platform of climate professionals that want to accelerate to reach the climate goals of 2030. Together with partners we are going to inspire and empower 1 million professionals in the Netherlands in their climate work. We collect data about ideas that these professionals want to realize and what is necessary to reach these goals and to accelerate in these ambitions. In October there are 87 months left to learn and transform together and to accelerate. Good for professional, organization and society.
