Lady Penelope gives the downspout and gutter the attention they deserve! Easy, fun DIY gargoyles, fountains and other solutions to return rainwater to nature

Rainwater still flows to the sewer in many places in the Netherlands. The city sewer cannot handle the amount of water during heavy rainfall. Climate change will only make the weather more extreme. With her project Water Ballet, Lady Penelope contributes a drop to the solution. With easy do-it-yourself solutions around the downspout, she stimulates people to become more involved with water and a climate-adaptive city.

Lady Penelope shows with her plug-and-play solutions how the downspout and gutter come to life. She creates a lively and colorful water spectacle with the design of modern gargoyles and fountain-like elements, which can be connected to the downspout and which – very elegantly – brings the water from the downspout and gutter to the garden or the street. Participate, because if all houses in Eindhoven let their rainwater infiltrate in the ground, that saves almost 1.4 million liters of water per rainshower.
