Giving you inside information on the importance of social design for the city and society and the impact the award made on these creative entrepreneurs winning €10.000,- to realize and kick-start their ideas and businesses.

WHAT IS A SOCIAL DESIGN?

Social design is the application of design methodologies to address complex human issues, prioritizing social issues. Historically, social design has focused on the designer's role and responsibility in society, and on using the design process to bring about social change.

In simple words; A social designer translates complex information into understandable language and actively collaborates with society. They design new perspectives around inclusion, housing, mobility, sustainability and care.
