Re Project is a social enterprise. It combines a sustainable system and a product family that targets disadvantaged women with low income to teach how to transform organic & paper waste, mixed with bio-materials to create products to sell and gain alternative income.
Biodegradable Material Research Meets Social Awareness
Re Project combines material explorations with a sustainable business system that each person can adapt and run. Re is an open-source system; products, recipes, materials, and molds are accessible; they can also be customized. Re is a non-profit project, earning money turned back only to the producers.
Using Waste from the Season
The recipe is designed to be adaptable to different kitchens. The seasonal food menu decides the bio-material recipe. For the winter season, Re Project produced various types of beans, red onions, and cardboard waste.
After-Life Circle of the Re Products
After the biodegradable Re Products start to decompose, users can use them to feed stray dogs. The products can be added to compost to finish their after-life cycle.
