Collection, Practice, Making of Evolution.
During Dutch Design Week, Dirk Duif brings together a large part of his work from recent years in his own studio at Building-TT. Furniture, objects and installations form a growing collection in which experimentation, material and the making process are central.
Dirk often starts with familiar, everyday forms such as a chair, cabinet, table or house. By playing with scale, proportions and function, he creates objects that feel familiar yet unexpected.
Many works develop directly through making. Steel plays an important role, with construction and traces of the process remaining visible. By presenting older and new works together, DDW offers a view into a collection that continues to evolve.
