Sofie Boonman designs and creates objects and jewelry that contribute to cherishing and preserving precious memories and offer comfort in times of loss and grief. During DDW, her work will be shown by Pennings Foundation, coinciding with the exhibition on view there with the theme LOSS. The exhibition is about the loss of someone, the impact of that on your life, and how you cope with it. Sofie’s work offers space for what remains—the memories, the feelings—to allow them to be there, to give them a place, literally and figuratively, to draw support from them. Her work offers a way to cope with loss.
