The Glass Stone — Stories of Collective Work
The Glass Stone — Stories of Collective Work
Project by Leiah Boström
Get to know our Design Department through selected student projects, The Entanglists podcast, and our upcoming master’s programme, Relational Design + Change — all exploring how design can create positive change.

What does it mean to practise Change?

For us, practising Change means questioning what we think design is, who it is for, and what it can make possible. At the heart of Småland, surrounded by forests, lakes and a strong tradition of craft and making, our Department of Design brings together students and educators from around the world.

The projects in this exhibition offer glimpses into these explorations — diverse ways of learning, making and practising design that challenge established ideas and invite us to unlearn. Together, they reflect how design can contribute to positive change and open up new possibilities for what design can become.

We are also soft-launching The Entanglists, a new podcast by designers, educators and researchers Coral Michelin and Juliana Restrepo-Giraldo, connecting with people who are changing the world through and beyond design. Come explore what it might mean to practise Change!
