Studio der Luminaire
Human Body= Garden is an immersive workshop that explores the seed properties of Dutch plants through tactile, healing, and non-human perspective.

SEEDS OF HOPE

Seeds carry the notion of potential and hope for the future, they adapt to adverse conditions and have medicinal benefits for the body. Central to our installation is the belief that seed behaviour can help humans and objects adapt to a changing physical, political, and financial climate. The installation consists of a collection of felted seating objects and seeds collected from the local landscape. Together they create a micro-reality, depicting the intricate structure of seeds through designs that play with scale, texture, and colour characteristics.

KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

Through the physical work, the designers created a scenography for the workshops to take place. These workshops are planned as moments to exchange plant knowledge, guide visitors through a series of ritualistic actions with the seeds, and to set individual and group intentions based on the shared findings of seed properties and benefits. Both general visitors as well as workshop attendees can interact with the work. For the benefit of the public that does not attend the workshop, informational text will provide additional conceptual information. Visitors will ultimately explore topics of local land, intention and personal cultivation. Viewing the body = garden we pose the question: what would you plant within yourself?

This exhibition is a collaborative project between the design studios Studio der Luminaire and Ogorod Smyslov.
