The Agency is a newly created agency that provides an infrastructure to transform places that at first glance don't seem particularly worth seeing into a place of interest. They question the way of traveling to create new perspectives and experiences.
âAgency of Unseen Sightsâ investigates how places are perceived when they are marked with objects indicating there is something to see. The aim is to question the act of seeing; how our eyes are guided and steered through a physical space. Are we drawn to see something? Or is everything considered worth seeing once it is marked as such? This newly founded agency provides an infrastructure to turn anywhere into a âmust-seeâ place of interest. Objects offer the possibility to make invisible âsightsâ visible. It critically questions the way we travel to gain new perspectives and experiences, and the reasons why we go to certain places to look at them. Does the place need to be interesting enough to attract attention, or is it the circumstances? Can scenic views be enjoyed anywhere?
