Especially for the Dutch Design Week 2024, artist Hans van Asch presents new work under the title Birds and boats and a Slice of Dutch Cheese Imitation. Abstract wall sculptures consisting of boat figures alternate with new photowork from his bird series.

Artist Hans van Asch is showing his most recent work especially for the Dutch Design Week. This time, new photographic work with his now well-known bird photography is alternated with a number of abstract wall sculptures with boat figures. The boat figures have references to Mondriaan and play with the solid form versus visual poetry. Freedom is a recurring theme in the work of Hans van Asch. The process of making, determining and letting go leads to surprising images with a good dose of humor and imagination.
