This photo series and publication reveals the contradictions of growing up in a digital age. The portraits show a strong attachment, but also a certain dependence. The Amsterdam municipality asked young people to share their personal stories and show how they relate to the internet - an exciting, sweet and sometimes untameable beast. What does it mean to grow up in a world that is always ‘on’?
The series of portraits, along with the accompanying publication featuring stories, insights from experts, and ideas for different social platforms, is more than a snapshot of our time. It is a call to action: the digital world must once again align with the needs and well-being of young people.
