The ATMO wall light is designed to create a calming and serene atmosphere. With its soft, diffused glow it resembles the natural light of sunrise and sunset. This connection to nature is further reinforced by the fact that the material itself is completely biodegradable.

ATMO’s glow emerges from its use of a biodegradable translucent material made from bacterial cellulose, a byproduct of a natural fermentation process. It's also known as the kombucha SCOBY and is formed as bacteria spin nano fibers during the fermentation. Over time, these fibers create a layer that floats on the surface of the fermenting liquid. Once harvested and dried, the sheet becomes a solid material.

One of the most intriguing aspects of ATMO is that no two bacterial cellulose sheets are exactly alike. The fermentation process is inherently unpredictable, resulting in aesthetic differences such as variations in translucency, texture, and subtle colour changes. This variety mirrors the diversity found in nature, inviting to appreciate the beauty of imperfection and the uniqueness of natural forms. This natural variation ensures that each ATMO wall light is one-of-a-kind.

The warm orange-yellow light that filters through the diffusing material evokes the serene moments of sunrise and sunset, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. ATMO showcases a meaningful connection to nature and a focus on sustainability by using a organic material and evoking the calm of natural light
