FlatFlat was born from the experience of frequent moves and the observation of excessive furniture waste on the sidewalks of New York.
FlatFlat is...
an aluminum furniture collection designed to fit into flat-rate shipping boxes. Out of the box, each flat-packed item assembles without the need for hardware, simply folding and fitting together.
All pieces are laser-cut locally from aluminum sheet, and fabricated independently by hand with aluminum hinges and rivets. Aluminum, an infinitely recyclable metal, is corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and resistant to bending.

About Aidan Reinhold
Aidan Reinhold, originally from Marlborough, Massachusetts, graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2024 with a BFA in Integrated Design. Aidan’s thesis project, FlatFlat, was born from the experience of frequent moves and the observation of excessive furniture waste on the streets of New York.
