Seminar: Ontwerpaanpak in transities

Space for the human perspective in the neighborhood.
Discover the power of a design approach in tackling transition challenges.

Neighborhoods face major challenges in housing, sustainability, and mobility. These complex issues require creative, integrated solutions. How do you address these challenges and create social impact without losing sight of the human perspective?

Are you working on major challenges in neighborhoods and communities and looking to achieve more?

Neighborhoods and communities face complex challenges. While we work on building the necessary collaboration and knowledge, major breakthroughs remain elusive in many areas where they are needed most.

In our practice, we see that a design-driven approach can make a difference by strengthening and accelerating processes. This approach uses creativity and experimentation to collaborate on new ideas. By combining different perspectives and turning them into experiments, you gain surprising insights and valuable lessons within complex issues. The result is solutions that fit better and make a greater impact.

However, design thinking often clashes with traditional ways of working in governments and other institutional players in the neighborhood. Efficiency and accountability seem at odds with exploration and creativity. Do you recognize this in your work?

If so, join us at our seminar ‘Design Approach in Transitions: Space for the Human Perspective in the Neighborhood’ on October 24!

Seminar content

In this seminar, we will share various practical examples that demonstrate how a designer’s mindset can lead to concrete interventions and societal impact. We’ll show how to incorporate the needs and interests of residents and how to shape change together with them. During the seminar, you’ll get a hands-on experience of what a design-driven approach entails and how you can apply it yourself.

You will leave with new insights and a set of tools that will allow you to make a difference with a design approach starting tomorrow.
