Common Sands is a collection of decorative and functional homeware accessories made from waste-glass components of discarded household appliances. The intrinsic properties of the components give the objects their added value. 

The re-use of waste glass from electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) is problematic following the usual recycling processes for glass because of their intrinsic properties; such as colour and varying composition. Using those properties as an added valu
