gURL is a speculative 2.5Dimensional teen bedroom installation, which explores the effects of digitalisation, attempts of CTRL of external entities, self expression and finding retreat in (digital) realms in the year 2032.
Accompanied by a 80-page teen magazine, an audio track, face filters, 3D clothing and miscellaneous custom made gURL items, trinkets and objects.
This work intersects with a research paper on “gURL archetypes in (digitalised) realms of shelter (Incognito, Ergo Sum), which was nominated for “The Willem de Kooning Research Award 2022” and Dutch Design Week's Manifestations "Young Talent Award 2022".
